Nilwella Palms draws inspiration from colonial vernacular and tropical modernism—an homage to Geoffrey Bawa’s ethos of blurred boundaries. Whitewashed walls meet polished and textured concrete floors, while timber furnishings and a curated mix of antique and contemporary pieces lend elegance and warmth. Large, open-plan living spaces seamlessly transition into the garden and pool terrace, framing uninterrupted views and sounds of the Indian Ocean. Home’s material palette and spatial openness cultivate a poetic harmony between structure and seascape.

Prioritizing preservation, the intervention retains the home’s essential character while subtly transforming its use and rhythm. The outcome is a calm, grounded domestic environment shaped by both continuity and change, and deeply attuned to its natural context.
RAZIQ VILLA
Perched gently on the edge of Koggala Lake, this five-bedroom villa offers a meditative retreat where architecture dissolves into the landscape. Conceived as a porous threshold between built form and nature, the home embraces the lush Sri Lankan environment through a seamless interplay of interior and exterior spaces. Each room is carefully oriented to frame elements of water, sky, and foliage—inviting nature not only in sight but in spirit.
SALTY PELICAN
Nestled in the surfer’s enclave of Hiriketiya on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, The Salty Pelican is a modern retreat that blends laid-back coastal living with tropical sophistication. Completed in December 2019, the property accommodates up to 40 guests in a mix of private and shared ensuite rooms, each with a balcony or terrace overlooking a central pool.
